it done blowd up?
i think i ruined my very recently finished na to t2 conversion. it started and ran. ran great.... parts-- jdm t2 motor, stock bov, usdm harness and computer, knock box, t2 pressure sensor, t2 maf, t2 fuel pump, na coils, na trans, na clutch. pretty much everything stock. i havent driven it very far at all, just around the block. it was at my old house and i was moving about 10 miles away so that was its maiden voyage. about halfway there it just lost power and started running really choppy. i thought it could have been an intercooler hose so my bro and i pull over(he was following me). couldnt find anything. all hoses were tight and everything looked normal. it has a hard time getting to 4k and it has no power. and the reason i think its blown over just something broken is that my boost gauge is fluttering. it will show vacuum that is bouncing with in about 3 hash marks and when it boosts it flutters from 0 to .2 bar. sorry for the long post. i am going to do a compression check after work but i wanted some thoughts or ideas as to what it could be and maybe someone has good news for me. anything else to look for before i deem it toast? thanks guys.

well my na does the same my exhaust sounds like a subaru and a dirt bike mixed but i have a hard time to get it past 4k and no power at all so im thinking that rear rotor is fried from running high rpms and leaning out " fcd is a life saver so i hear"

FCD is just a mind **** for the ECU, it's a bandaid compared to real engine management or even a good piggyback or plugin like the Rtek.
it isn't difficult to tell if the motor is blown, you often don't even need to do a compression test to verify if you have good ears. pull the fuse nearest the engine under the hood and crank the engine, if it sounds uneven while cranking then bet there is a severe loss of compression.

yup. i wasnt able to do any of that on monday when i posted till later. rear rotor has almost no compression. she is toast. good thing i assumed that this would happen sooner than later and already got the rebuild kit with the fd upgrades, oil pan baffle and new housings for when it did go. hopefully it didnt wipe out an iron or rotor. ill take pics of the tear down, the reason it poped and the rebuild as time comes. should be back up and going in a week. im thinking it leaned out though and i have fcd header 720's and 255lph pump, i just wanted to keep it stock to check everything out first. thanks for everyones responses.
