squeaking rear end.

i did my automatic to turbo II driveline swap a few months ago.

one day i was pulling out into the street and it was raining outside so my car cut loose. after that i heard a squeaking noise coming from the rear end.

usually when i slow down by engine braking and using the brakes i hear it.

also when i take a turn i can hear it too.

anybody know what this is.

btw i searched.
its not a clunking sound, or a whinning sound, its squeaky.ha

either the breaks (metal and metal or other parts rubbing together) or blown struts. Definitely take your wheels off and take a look around.

mine was making the same noise...

turns out it's my strut bushing thing... you know, that rubber piece that mates between the strut and the body of the tower...

i don't know how to describe it, it's like a doughnut type deal made of foam rubber and whatnot...

i wasn't inferring that you didn't know what a bushing is, i just had no idea/forgot what the thing is called lol

and, no, i haven't replaced them yet; and i probably should as it's so annoying and probably chipping away at the mounts...
