Spring question? need help!

I have a 87 TII, I am going to upgrade the coil springs. I'm looking at the tanabe GF210 coils (1.5" drop), but I am affraid they will lower my car to much. My car's front wheels have about 1.75" clearance from the fender and the rear tires about 2.5". Is it possible the front shocks are gone? Do the dimensions I provided make sence and sound about right for stock coils. Thanks for your help

I wouldn't lower the car more that 1" max. It will cause too much camber and you will eat tires. From what I've heared, the best springs are eibach progressive rates.
