My 1985 w/ 2nd gen 13b is almost done...so that means... NEW PROJECT TIME!

This project is a 1987 Sport Model. The motor runs but smokes a little and floods often, so, I am doing a J-spec swap in her for my brother in law...

Here are a few pics, the car has a T2 hood on it already (I had one laying around) and I made a set of clear lenses. THe motor has not been purchased yet because I am trying to find the best place to buy one...(CHEAP) I have a T2 with a motor but I am saving that one for a different project. Anyways I will keep posting pics and updates. THe car will be painted black and will sport some 17" rims before the end of the summer.

 

Yeah, a Sport with the 13BT and Turbo/GTU style mirrors is the GT, a model that they only imported a half dozen or so to north america. There is a Car and Driver article on the GT back in early '86.

My next project is building one. No power windows/locks, no fancy carpets, ultra light Turbo.
