SPOILER question

i am looking to get a spoiler for my car. i decided to get a factory spoiler instead of an aftermarket one. are all the spoilers on the second gens the same or were there different ones on different models? there was one that i saw the other day on a GTUS that i liked but was curious if there were different ones. I already searched and couldn't find any answers so any help would be great,

Yes, there were different stock wings. I'm not sure how many. I have the flat kind that just sits at the end of the car. Real low-profile. Let me find a picture for you.

If I remember right this is the "sport" wing or something. I could be wrong.

Let me find another one...

Ignore the randomness of this shot, it shows the wing pretty well though:

Cheers,
Cody

P.S. This is the only stock wing I like for the FC. Either this wing or no wing for me. Of course, to each his own.

^^^ yep, that's the spoiler that came stock on the sport model; sometimes referred to as the "duckbill" spoiler. It's made of rubber, usually black unless painted, and is the only functional stock spoiler (helped lower the Cd on the sport to .29).

Hmm, that's some neat info there! I never knew that! But umm.. for us.. laymen... what does Cd mean? And if it's .29 with the wing what was it without... and what does it matter?

Thanks again for the info!!

Cheers,
Cody

Cd, isn't the drag coefficient? 0.29 looks like one but why inverse the letters? Damn engineers, i'm sticking to chemistry lol.

Cd is the coefficient of drag. Everyone just refers to it as drag coefficient.

the S4 GXL/TII wing is slightly different than the S5 GTU/TII wing. The material is different and so is the size.
