Spent 2k on my car, 4k left.. what next?

Hows it goin,
I just dropped 2k on a full exaust from the headers back, eibachs, rims, and some other misc. stuff..

I have 4 grand left to drop into the car, and my intentions are to put a new engine in it..

I researched bridge port, and i decided i don't want to go that route, due to reliability, and how long it lasts.

I think i want to go street port and just more modifications (suspension mainly) Ive gotten a few quotes on some engine turn key packages..

Stage 2 street port with new clutch, flywheel, weber intake system, 1g coil, 1g distributor.

it was quoted at 4,600... which is a little too much for me..

What should i do?

shocks!! get some KYB AGX's and don't use high performance springs on a stock old strut/shock. If the current motor in the car is healthy save your $$ and keep working the suspension. The full exhaust on an NA will make nice gains, an aluminum flywheel is worth it also...very nice gains there (so to speak). If you really want power a TII swap is the ticket but I'd concentrate on driving/suspension as you already have some NA mods on order. This sounds like a new project for you so enjoy it...upgrading bushings, chassis braces, camber plates, and various links will make your FC a handling demon...in a couple of years the power bug will bite you, get your TII swap then!!

get some suspension technique sway bars and a bushing kit from summit racing (whole thing cost about $320) I recently got some corksport strut tower braces for $159. Haven't found the lower braces but will work on it later.
