spent $660 on parts i dont need for a car that doesnt run

I just spent $660 on parts I don't need for a car that doesn't run. WTF is wrong with us.

first up, stumbled on RXecret7.com's site. Haven't been there in the longest time. Was looking at a old thread on rx7club about an arc stock mount that was sold there.
Found out that they were going out of business and having a blowout sale. Found a brand new Koyo radiator for S4. And everything has free shipping.

Second up, and reason I was looking for an arc stock mount in the first place is to find anyone thats ever used one. Because I spotted an almost new HKS topmount on ebay and was curious how good they were. I only plan on running the h-trim hybrid that I bought from a friend a while ago, and this will be perfect in the mid 60s year round temp that i live in now.
I know people don't like the stock mounts, but why not. I really am against hacking up my car. Guess its cause I baby my car (erm, in a really weird way) and am a ***** about stuff I can't revert to stock. Its original and matches my hats LOL
So.......I bought it. Seeing how I have a stupid obsession with HKS crap, and I havent seen the hks top mount before, and this thing is mint.

Waste of money? yes.
Do I care? not really....

Worst part is, I could almost afford a jspec w/ what I spent, haha. I don't think I'll be back to PHX to fix my motor till late feb or march maybe.....That means I'll have tons of crap for my car

Not us, you...

I know people don't like the stock mounts, but why not.
Because they heatsoak like a bastard. No matter what TMIC you use, not matter how made it, no matter how much you paid for it, you cannot solve this problem. At low speed and when stopped the hood scoop becomes a chimney for heat to escape through. If you'd spent and time in an FC equipped with a TMIC and an air temp display, you would not have bought that...

oh well, ill learn my lesson. and by the time i switch to a fmic or v-mount or whatever. since this things brand new almost now, itll still look great and i can get most of my money out of it.

i also have water/alky injection to run, pieceing it together over time, sorta thinking of ditching what i have now and just buy a nice pre-made kit
and to decide wether to run 50/50 water and alcohol or straight alcohol. If i do straight alky, im gonna get a big sticker w/ Sake Injection on it

btw, forgot to mention that i blew my motor on that t2 last month. im now living in cali making lots of money, so i can spend more than before thankfully.

i dont want a HUGE core. i want something on the mild side. im only running an h-trim hybrid, and for now thats perfectly fine.

either alky injection, or a intercooler sprayer, or maybe some 12v fans on the intercooler, but ill figure something out

i wonder if the MS hoodscoop helps airflow at all......looks kinda mean at least lol

My car was always running.
It doesn't run real good right now due to crappy wiring that's causing low voltage to the fuel pump, but I'm too lazy to fix it cause an E8 is on it's way soon.

Wow $460 for a top mount. Id love to have one but for that kinda money. Id rather go front mount anyday.

Its that damn 105 bucks from Japan that kills it.
