speedometer broken?

speedometer broken?

its not working what do i do? Also the odometer stopped counting.....

First thing: Check your speedo cable.
It may be disconnected or the flexible shaft broken.
It is a easy fix.

if it's broke near the tranny, it's not such an easy fix, right? I believe that's where mine's broke. I think i need to drop the driveshaft from the tranny to change the driving gear and an o-ring. I already paid to have mine fixed, it still doesn't work, so i'm not worried.

where is it what does it look like. I'll see if i can find something in the hanes book. I crawled under it today and looked for any disconnected wires didn't see any hard to do if you don't know what you are looking for though.

its not a wire its a cable that goes into the rear of the tranny. Go under from the drivers side and youll see it sticking out of the sid

its not a wire its a cable that goes into the rear of the tranny. Go under from the drivers side and youll see it sticking out of the side of the tranny, its about an inch round and you can unscrew it with your hands

from what i can see ( i didn't jack it up ) it's still in the tranny. im going to go jack it up now.
