Speedo not working, did the cable break?

Ok, so my speedo used to wobble alot, bounce up and down, so i tightened it a bit where it connects to the tranny, then it only wobbled at low speeds a little, so one day it started bouncing like batshit razy around 60 then it died. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting it bit it didnt work, what do you all think is broken?

Not neccesarily. Get under the car and check to see if it came loose somehow. Then check and see if it came loose from behind the instrument cluster. If both of those are fine, then you weill need a new cable.

yeah check behind the cluster it could become unlodged from there and reinspect that the insert went into the tranmission then re-tighten

I already inspected at the tranny side. It all looked good to me, I guess I will pull out my gauge cluster soon.
