Speedo cable from hell.
im chaning out instrument clusters and the speedo cable is refusing to attach itself to the back of the cluster. i have pushed on it to the point where i cant see it going any farhter and then it slides itself off. wont click in! the clip looks fine though...is there a difference between the Turbo cable and the N/A one? i am using those two different clusters...
there's only one position to click it in on the cluster? i thought that was only for the tranny. the reason i'm asking is because i took off the cable thinking that it was the cluster that didnt work correctly. i put the cable in, but never seemed to click in, it's hard to know what position to rotate the cable to click it, no space for hands...
It's been a while since I've done it, but yeah there is only one position for it and I'm not to sure if it goes in like the tranny as I never seen it. The plastic clip would go into the gap of the metal part of the cable. Get the cable as far as you can onto the instrument and slide the clip onto the gap. It should stay really good and not just pop out. If you can get someone to help push the cable into the firewall so you have more room to work, it would be alot easier.
