speedo cable can suck it!!
speedo cable can suck it!!
ok so i spent about 2 hours last night trying to plug in the speedo cable into the back of my cluster and no luck at all.
there is just not enough room for me to plug the cable in straight.
so what im wondering if i disconnect the other end of the cable (on the trans, or wherever it is) will it give me any slack to pull the cable out a little so i can plug it in the back of the cluster without mangling my arm/hand.
does anyone have any suggestions.
the only good thing that came out of this experience is now i can take out the gauge cluster in about 5 minutes. my hand hurts.

ya mine took me about 10 minutes.....you just have to pull the cluster out far enough to plug it in.....i guess if you disconnected it from whereever it connects to it would give you some slack to work with....
Yes, unbolt it from the transmission (drivers side, about in the middle, around 45 degrees from vertical up high) then it's easier as you can actually pull it through enough to plug it in.
