Speedmachine or Banzai?

Speedmachine or Banzai? for the 13b-re mounts for the FC? Anyone tried these? Which are better? I was going to buy the Banzai's... just b/c alot of people have tried them, but now I have a good offer on a speedmachine set ($100 for urethane monts and bracket).

As a general statement, almost all Speedmachine products are junk.

Really... I didnt know this. I havent tried any of their products. But I see that everyone here that's done the swap has used the kits provided from 1 of those 2 companies.

i disagree.....all of speedmachines fc stuff comes from when they were fc3s.org and were designed by craig and dave personally for their cars....they took the time to make sure these products had a superior fitment
for example if you take their oil bypass pellet and compare it to say atkins you will see a much better quality and better fitment

A lot of Speedmachines body peices fit horribly...and the fact that it can take 5+ months to recieve an item doesn't help much either.

What the **** are you smoking?

They make very FINE products that have held up under numerous cars. Not to mention Dave is a great supporter of FC's who started like us, he makes well priced, well made products specifically for guys like us.

Who the **** do you think you are? I'm figuring this is from your FINE automotive experience and you being 15 or 16?

Odd, I've been around 2 sets of sideskirts and one hood and it fit very well. They actually test fit it all on a car before leaving. Not to mention if I had a problem with anything Dave personally will speak to you and clear anything up.

There was a few situations where mistakes happened, but Dave NEARLY instantly had a remedy for them.

Do you own their products or are you going off heresay? Refering to a few jackasses in the Good Guy/Bad Guy section?

I would suggest Banzai's mounts as well. Great shop and great customer service. I personally feel that the quality of the Banzai motor mounts is better than the SMP mounts. But I'm only talking about the motor mounts and not the company or any other products. I do not want to get involved in the flame war between Jager and adrock3217.

It's not a flame war, he's just spreading false information about a product and a company. I wish people would just answer the question instead of adding in random demeaning remarks towards a company that produces great products for a fair price.

That's all really, I just wanted to know what experience he has had. I've been treated better by Dave then most anyone I've spoken too. He's a realisitic guy who started just like us. He ships fast and fixes any issues you do have with him pretty realistically and quickly.

I think that you really can't go wrong with any products from either company. Both are good choices.

I've never personally dealt with either shop on a business standpoint. But I've had the chance to talk to Dave a few times, and he's a great guy. Seems some-one is a hater on the boards? He's taken time out of his schedule to explain things to me, and I'm really thankful for it. As well, everyone that I've heard has had no problem with SMP quality.

And that was the reason for my statement earlier. They are both awsome companies. But WTH are you smoking saying that SMP stuff isnt made right or dosnt fit properly. Ive owned 3 cars with there CF parts on it and the fit and finish was excellent

Can we keep this on topic please? I don't want to have to go through and clean up all the B.S. out of this thread.

from what I hear it usually takes forever for shipping on theyre products. Thats even if you receive anything from them. Not very reliable.

I just bought a CF TII hood from Speedmachine and the fit and finish on that was perfect. lined up with all the body lines and has a good finish. I was impressed with the overall product and will be buying from them in the future!

Have you ever dealt with them? I have purchased numerous things from them...I have never had a fitment problem...and every time the shipment came within a week...a couple of times it was the next day!!! Speedmachine Performance is awesome...that's just my experience though.

Well, this thread is no longer needed. Dave said that they don't make the mounts anymore. So this thread is now closed.

Dave, thank you for coming in here and clearing that up. I'll see you at the next event in SoCal.
