Don't waste your coin on the Platinum, just change them a little more often. NGK is about the only Co. that makes them (I think HKS makes Iridiums, but anyway). The stock 7 and 9EQ as Turbonut said will do the proper job. If you drive hard, the electrode 'nub' on the lead will wear down quick, so pull one every once and awhile and take a look. The surface that the spark gaps to should have a light brown rusty looking deposit, not too thick.

Starts off as a cylinder, squared off on the edges. It would look like a stack of quarters basically. Then it gets worn down to more of a beehive shape. Kind of comes to a dull point.
