Spare Tire????

Imma a real noob, but i've read that all verts and some 86-87 fc have spare tires. I also read that some fc had 4 seats???

I have a 88 GXL (two seat) do I have a scissor jack or spare tire in the back?? Probably not. Last time i checked the rear there was some metal rods under the carpet, but i never removed the carpet fully.

Sorry for the noob question.

you should have a jack and a spare tire....why dont you just go look, the jack sits on the drive side, right in the back on the side though, the spare sits perfectly in the middle right at the back standing upright.

Yes some models were 2+2

Spares are right infront of the rear license plate...

But that is not even the real issue... The real issue is:

You are driving a car without knowing if there is a Jack and spare???

Its called the Spacesaver spare. One of the only auto manufatcurers in that era that were selling cars with aluminum wheeled spares.

what cars dont come with a spare besides really old cars. if you were having trouble finding it you could have easily looked through the manual which you probably should have skimmed through anyway.

i think mine has a FD spare... maybe a previous owner put it in there, cause my GXL spare was just a black crappy rim, but this one is yellow and im pretty sure i saw an FD with that same spare.
