is this member still on the boards/does he still have his fc?

i am looking into getting a bridgeported fc and his name was the first one to come into my mind. i remember he had a monster fc with a bridgeport, so i figure who better to ask? i remember him thinking of selling his fc a bout 5 or 6 months ago but i forgot what he decided on doing. any help would be appreciated thanks.

The car is in Japan. It has been sold (at least one year ago). It has been stripped to a near stock car. Soul Assassin (Alf) hasn't been on the forums in a long time.

He was running a half bridge before he went crazy with his new one. Turbos and bridgeports do mix, and they mix very well.

I'm BDC; It stands for my initials Brian D. Cain. I've been a rotary head for years and years and have been working on them as a means of a living for just over a year.

As far as the bridgeport turbo combination, if they're setup right, they can make quite a bit of power. The last several months, I've been playing around with half-bridgeport/turbo setups. I've currently got three on the road with about three more coming out pretty soon in the next couple of months. With the right EFI system, and the right fuel & ignition hardware, they can be made to be quite powerful. The one factor that's raised my eyebrow about them is their ability to make ALOT of torque over the same boost on a street port. We see gains of anywhere between 60 to 90ft/lbs of torque at the same or less boost w/ the same turbo.

Here's a few pictures of my work:

My car is BDC's 1st half BP Turbo car. and I love this porting over a street port any day. I gained alot more mid range torq. only problem is my current turbo T04e is too small and starts dropping off boost after around 6500.

I have a new turbo should be here tuesday. after I put on and hit the wide band I will start turning up the boost.

Brian.

PM me how much for just the sideplates half bridge ported??

Thanks,
Ian

P.S I have two spare sets but it would cost to much to ship down. Im in the great white north.

Just interested to see how much they would be.

I will be running a E6K with a To4B 60-1 .96A/R ,70 Trim with a 4" inlet. Dam stuff is still sitting beside my spare engine

Half-bridges don't have the characteristic bridgport idle if you using the stock sequential throttle body. This is because at idle the secondary throttles are closed, so the bridged secondary ports don't flow.

Alf's car had a nice smooth idle.
