Somthing.. odd here

When I top off my Oil… my Clutch Seems to slip.. a lot..
When it drops Below Half on the Dip stick. The Clutch Works like a Champ…
Now last I checked when I had the trans down. I don’t believe I saw anyway AT ALL. For Oil to make its Way to the Flywheel…
Any suggestions? Or is it Just about time for a new Clutch.. which wouldn’t explain the slipping at full lvl

rear mail seal, between the flywheel/eshaft, and rear iron. i assume it smokes like hell and you can smell the burnt oil? but it should do this all the time not just when you fill it up.

Only when its Fill'd.
i tested this As of today.
ran it down to about a little below half..
Ran it.. Clutch was Great.
Filld it.. let it sit and cool down. clutch Slips.
No smoke... not even a burnt Clutch smell when it Slips... i ruld out the Slave Cyl. as i thought it May not be Releasing all the way..
But i dont like the sound of the rear main Seal going...

rear main seal +1

How long does it take for the oil to get down to half level?

If the rear main seal is leaking, you won't necessarily get a **** load of oil on the clutch because the flywheel is in the way.

Take out the rubber plug at the bottom of the tranny bellhousing under the clutch area. If there's oil there, it will add more 'meat' to the theory.

Rear seal replacement is not too bad, relative to let's say rotor oil seal replacement.

Main seal is the ONLY thing thats going to cause both those probs at the same time. But it really shouldn't make a difference on how much oil you have in it. Confusing.

Can you change a clutch? If you can then you should be able to do this.

You all think he should change the rear stat gear oil o ring?

if you can change the clutch than you can get to the rear main seal and change that its super easy

the hardest part is taking the old one out well at least it was for me cuz it was stuck pretty good

you will need an impact to get the flywheel off, thats for sure, and it should be in the FSM, i dont think the haynes is very descriptive.
