FD's didn't come in that color. My friend's TII is a similar color called platinum frost, but his is lighter. That FD looks more like a platinum.

I think it's called tornado gray, but I'm not exactly sure. The car belongs to MikeL. You can e-mail him at RX-7@brfoundation.com and ask him what the exact color is.

on Gran Turismo they call that Shadow Silver Mica or something of that sort, not sure but it does look good on a good picture of the car.

WOW! Do I feel special? Yes, I do. Thanks!

It is color code "K8" for 1987. It's called "Tornado Silver Metallic".

Here is a recent photo of my original 1987 paint:

Try to find one that's already that color instead of trying to change the color. It's easier.

Yea, try to find one that has the Burgundy interior. I think it looks great with the K8 exterior. Interior image attached.

It sure is one clean interior. I guess you like to keep it neat.

hey MikeL,

Where'd you find your dual Power Extremes and how much were they? I've been searching for some good looking, nice duals and really like yours.

mikel, i have to give you a round of applause on this one.
I dispise the burgundy interior on FCs w/ a passion, but yours is so spotless and clean. Your car looks great
way to go.
But did they come w/ different interiors cause I most likely would find one w/ a slob **** interior

but anyone know what interior colors wcame w/ what exterior colors on FCs?
like are any T2s leather, or any GXLs cloth?
and what color

The 86-88 cars had red, blue, gray, and black(only on 10AE's). The 89-91 cars had black and blue. I've never seen any other colors. The leather was available for all of the colors.

Rotary Performance, http://www.rx7.com, may have a few left. Supposedly the system has been discontinued.

Yea, but wheres the fun in that? =]
Seriously though, what are the chances of finding a TII in that color, much less finding a TII at all (I've had alot of difficulty). But I'm getting this car as a project. Im gonna lift it up in my garage, strip it down, and clean it up. Get it all new and clean looking. So in the process, I can get it repainted.

If that's the case then I would say change the color. I did it, and I'm very happy that I did. Just make sure that you remove EEVRYTHING before you paint. You want to make that car look like it was stripped by pros.

Here's one of my engine bat during the assembly. I wish I had taken some pictures when the car was REALLY stripped.
