someone please help .. wont start
i cant even get the car to start .. it turns over but wont start .. its getting fuel .. its getting air .. and its getting spark .. i have checked it for vaccum leaks and i havent found any .. i replaced the 2 gaskets for the intake manifold (plenum) ... i didnt dissasemble the engine at all tho just pulled it out of one car and put it in the other and it was running in the other car .. when i swaped it over i got it to start a couple times with grave effort but now for some reason it wont start ... i marked everthing and took pictures so i can make sure i hooked everthing back up right ... but it just wont start .. im at a brick wall and i dont know what to do
they are new spark plugs and i hooked a spark test to the plugs and to the coils .. i got a friend of mine to turn it over while i watched for the light .. so its getting spark .. and for the fuel i disconnected the line leaving the pump and turned it over and fuel came through .. the i reconnected it and disconnected the line from the return hose and turned it over and fuel came through .. so i know the fuel is going through the engine
Ok. Follow these steps. Pull out your EGI fuse and crank the car with the spark plugs out to empty the chambers. Put the fuse back in. Heat up the tips of the lower spark plugs with a lighter. A hot plug always fires better than a cold one.
Right behind the BAC valve, theirs a large vacuum line on the UIM to the right of the "13B INJECTION" logo (I think for the brake booster, I'm not sure). Pull that line off and put some mix (oil and gas) in it. Doesn't matter how much as long as you don't have neighbors that complain about smoke. Just don't go overboard.
Crank it till it starts.
The oil trick always works. ALWAYS.
Just a tip. Once it starts, your going to have to keep it running by reving it up a little. If not, it'll bog and die. After it starts and is warmed up, shut it off and clean off the plugs. You should be good from there on.
