Hey everyone got another rx7

Hey everyone its been a while. I used to have a 1986 S4 N/A and ended up selling it when I blew a apex seal due to lack of funds for a rebuild. Well I just picked up a white 1988 n/a. I cannot remember any links or anything besides racingbeat. Does anyone have a good list of vendors? Thanks

Corksport thank you! I had their strut tower bars and loved them and could not remember what they were. I believe I may have a GTU. the cars debadged but it has a/c, power sterring, power locks/windows/mirrors. And its a 5 lug. My old N/A was a 4 lug? I thought only the TIIs got 5 lug? Can you help I have been away from these things for too long and have forgot almost everything I learned of them?

its a 88 so it could be a GXL but i assume u would already know its a GXL if you saw the auto adjusting suspension. If you dont have the AAS then it must be a GTU.

Im sorry your gunna have to work with me here. I remember before they had a rear toe eliminator kit I believe. I dont know what models these came on. But the rear tires toe in a little at the top, not a lot like somethings broken but you can notice it with a trained eye. Or is the AAS like air ride that adjusts the ride height

AAS is suspension that adjusts the firmness of the shock/strut to a certain level

Directly behind the shifter, you should see a switch for the AAS. If it's not there, then it is a GTU. Or it could be a 5-lug swapped base model. Sunroof?

Very true, could be a 5 lug swap or GTU. To find out if its a GXL open the hood and look at the top of the front strut towers. If you see wires coming out of the top of the struts then its a GXL model.

I dont know if it matters but my friend had a 1987 TII and this car has the same wheels as it. I will check when I get home if theres wires coming out of it.

Doesn't help, since turbos didn't share the same wheels with other models. Someone swapped his wheels or your wheels. You can find the list of standard features and options here in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/restoring-stickies-after-passing-icemark-850967/. Post #22.

Ok its got the AAS, theres wires coming out of the struts. Is this good or bad? And we finally got some power to it the other day and the motors turning over very slowly. We tried to pull start it and it wasnt wanting to go. All the dummy lights are lit up and the 'shift up' light is on even in neutral? Im guessing theres a short somewhere, wheres a good place to begin. Thanks
