some smoke issues

hey, im not sure whats gong on so if you guys could help.
i have a rebuild 91 tii, the rebuild has about 500 miles on it. not too many problems with it, the coolant light kept going on but its stoped so i guess any air bubbles are gone now and the idle is steady at about 750, but anyways, ive been letting the engine get a little boost while getting on the freeway now and a few seconds after i let go of the throttle i see some smoke comming out the back of the car. its kinda grey and it smells a bit like 2-cycle so im not sure if has something to do with the baypass valve or the injecters. the turbo wasnt rebuilt but it didnt have any play. any ideas?
ohh yeah if your thinking to you self "man, this guy is an idiot, suck my *****"

I'm actually having the same smoke problem, but my turbo does have some up and down play, and it's also a 4 year old engine. I'm having the turbo inspected tomorrow, and the engine will also be opened. I'll let you know what the problem was.

If you had a haltech, I'd say it was the decel cut setting..

Does the stock TII use the same type of anti-afterburn valve that the N/A's do?? That vavle was out on my old GTU and it would blow grey, fuel smelling smoke out on decel until i fixed it..

I ditched all the stock electronics the day after i bought my TII.. so i never really looked at it
