some insight needed??

ok so i gots a 13b na motor. i wanna go turbo. im trying to decide if i should get a new tII engine and build it. or just get some tII rotor housings an build it from the ground up since ive heard about some motors being junk and that you should expect to rebuild it anyway. any thoughts?

what ever you do dont turbo an n/a motor! well it is not advice and you're prolly spending more than you need to. Also read the FAQ. But anyways is cheaper to buy a TII than a TII swap.

i never said anyhting about turboing a na motor. ive read the faq. my qustions is does any one think that buying a tII motor from a motor seller would be better then buying the parts insividually since i want to build the motor for performance anyway.

I'd buy a TII motor/drivetrain, run it till it pops, then rebuild it.

From what I've read over and over (not done it myself), you'll need the TII engine, trans, differential, and halfshafts. The n/a stuff will either break or not fit (I can't remember).

You can use the n/a tranny but you would have to change the flywheel and clutch on the TII engine with a flywheel and clutch from an n/a engine because of the differences in splines and the diameter between turbo and non. IMO yould be better off getting the TII drivetrain if you dont already have it, its a pain in the *** either way but its worth it cause n/a trannies suck, i have broken 2 of them. go turbo drivetrain

instead of doin the swap is much cheaper and less time consuming if you get a TII, but yet again it is time consuming looking for a one.

that is my two cent
