solnoids on intake manifold

as some of u know im rebuilding a 88 t2 that suffered from a pd failure/fire.im curious if anyone has the one on the back near the firewall and the one on the top next to the intercooler.

on manifold

no,not those i got rid of the vacuum rac. im talking about the things bolted on the upper intake manifold.one on the back facing the firewall,the other is bolted to the top of the upper intake manifold.im not sure what they are, but they burned up.what are they called

You really don't need them.&nbsp They compensate idle from power steering and crap.&nbsp I usually throw them away and block the holes off.

yeah but i have power steering and a/c and i would like the car to idle with both on.

BAC valve would normally compensate for everything else.&nbsp Power steering would cause a slight dip that can be annoying...
