Solenoid Air-Bleed
The wires on the "Solenoid Air Bleed" (according to the FSM) both broke off on me. My question is, how important is this piece.
If the name is confusing, its on the UIM (86' N/A) on the driver side. It has two hoses, one attaching to the UIM, the other attaching to the metal air tube that runs off of the intake.
Replace? Or just ignore? Etc...

You must be using terminology from something other than the fsm. Not a big deal, Just threw me a touch. The AIR BYPASS SOLENOID VALVE works in conjunction with the BAC during the startup of the car when the engine is cold. It works with a AIR BYPASS SOLENOID RELAY and BAC to create an approx 3000rpm for 17 seconds.....then closes. That is the ONLY time it functions. The series four turbo has an identical solenoid on the right side of the engine near it's bac for fyi.
You can live without it....but heck, take the challange and fix it anyway for the experience. If you let one thing fail before you know it you'll let another fail and before you know it hardly a thing works anymore. It falls under one of the seven deadly sins, being SLOTH. Humor me, please. humor. Hey...you got an answer anyway. Be thankful for small things.

Thanks for the help. I was looking in the Parts Catalog as opposed to the FSM which is why I came up with a weird name for the part. Oh well, time to get some soldering started.
