softer springs OR whole new coilovers?

Got the springs in and test drove the car for the first time. The new springs absolutely helped the ride harshness. its still a bit hard but I can take the speed bumps in my apartment complext at the speed limit (10mph) in relative comfort. have yet to test them on the freeway but I think they are going to be the same
Rev9 customer service helped out a lot with the spring replacements and the rear lower strut mounts. As someone who is probably going to keep them on the car until they break I would 110% recommend them as a first coilover PROVIDED you get softer springs lol. I've done about 20k miles on the shocks and old springs and the shocks havent leaked, the adjusters still work and feel clicky and with the softer springs the ride feels very balanced. I think it also speeks volumes that their customer service was very helpful which is rare now adays. So yeah, would recommend as a budget option.

definitely, the real issue with most setups is when lowering the car you lose travel so they want to push stiffer springs to prevent you from damaging anything. compromising stance with ride quality is always a difficult thing to decide on.
When getting coil overs, I would always recommend asking others in the know about spring rates work better for DD/street use vs track.
The other point I'd keep in mind is break in period. After a few hundred miles the ride will soften a little. Some manufacturers build for this, some don't. So you might start out stiffer than advertised or you might start as stiff as advertised. 1000 miles later you might be as stiff as advertised or you might be softer. Things to consider when choosing coil overs and springs.
