Exclamation Soft pedal pressure with new aftermarket clutch setup???

I just installed one of those ebay 6-puck clutch setups in my friends 91 Turbo II, but the clutch feels rather weak, or definitely not stronger than the stock cltuch setup. Anyone else have this problem???

Yeah, I did that earlier tonight and I noticed an improvement with the feel of the pedal, but I was expecting the clutch engagement to feel much stiffer or stronger than what it currently is. Maybe I got jipped and they sent me a stock pressure plate that was merely painted??? Hell, I don't know....

This is what I got:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XTD-S...QQcmdZViewItem
The name XTD is on both the clutch disc and pressure plate.
The name of the company that sells it is www.AimcoClutches.com

It feels the same way now as it did before I took everything apart, cleaned and honed the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder and cleared the lines. They're all practically brand new now, and it was bled properly and I adjusted the adjusting rod for the clutch pedal

and yes, it was bled properly. It has full clutch engagement, but it just feels weak, or weaker than what I'd expect from a stronger pressure plate.

Thats normal for the XTD clutch cover.
They desigh more leverage in the spring disc so you get more clamp with less force on the hydraulics.
That design also gives a more sensitive engagement.

No worries.

When a buddy of mine installed a 6-puck in his 240 he said it felt fine for the first month or so, basically like stock. As it wore in he said it got more harsh, on engagement.

Maybe it just needs to wear in a little bit...
