Great body and interior, but it's 4-lug and automatic. And needs gas.

Interestingly it has the rear bin-delete rear carpet. Not sure I've seen one before.

you would pay a lot more than that to get the body and interior of a 5 lux gxl to the same condition

its a great buy

Great body, clean interior... but 4 lug and Automatic. Also non-turbo. I'd give him 3k for it at the most.

except it's not a GXL, so you're paying close to a grand for the conversion and still stuck with an automatic.. a clean automatic! woo woo.

you could buy a TII that needs some scrubbing down for a little bit more than that.

you could also actually buy a 6 speed RX8 for even a little more than that(in my case i bought a salvage title 8 for what this is being asked for which was already repaired), which is going to be just as clean and actually be more comfortable to drive, not to mention quicker than even a stock TII and has 4 actual functional seats. maybe the whole 80's car thing is wearing on me but i like having A/C, a nice factory stereo that works, room in the back and electrical components that work when i turn them on.

by the time someone puts a turbo engine/hood in it, nice wheels, lowering springs, struts, turbo upgrades, etc you have a $20k invested $5-6k valued, old, still arthritic sports car that only an enthusiast will be interested in lowballing you for(because they know people aren't falling out of trees with money in their pocket looking for one). who really buys an FC and is truly happy with the power? almost no one, and the n/a cars are very limited, the auto is the first thing to go and is a pain in the *** to convert properly.

86-87 base models had no fender decals. The 88 base had the SE fender decal.
