so i plan on buying this jdm s4 tII shortblock
will it be worth it to streetport it or should i just leave it stock. either way i have to build it any way becuase its in pieaces. also can i use my n332 ecu and my old stuff on it sense its a s4 block or is there anything really different about the jdm block.
If you plan on tearing it apart.. Just go ***** deep and get new apex seals, oil control seals, and coolant seals plus all of the gasket set and check the step wear on the plates.
Don't half *** it. You will thank me in the end. Sure you can do a cheap teardown and port job but as of the way it sits the seals are probably happy where they are. Disturb them and you will end up blowing a coolant seal or something else quite quickly.

well the motors already tore down and needs reassembeled and i deffently plan on using new seals and everything but also i was just thinking about buyings a streetported motor off atkins. because my motor lost a coolant jack or a housing broke or something where coolant is every where ****** sucks and the motor only had about 50 miles on it. so im tryin to do it right this time.
A reason to use 3mm apex seals is because on some rotors, the apex seal groove is out of spec (too large for 2mm apex seals to be used safely) and is then machined to fit the 3mm apex seals within specifications.
