just asking, still learning?
so ive preformed an entire emissions tear down as posted here
http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...s_removal.html
have intake (filter), high flow fuel filter, custom 2 to 2 header, true dual exhaust, pulsation eliminator bolt, clutch, radiator, omp installed, 3.9 rear lsd was an auto 88 gxl, plan on getting a flywheel, maybe a 4.3 rear, and just wondering what else can be done, the plan in the long run is an s5 turbo motor but not ready yet,
but what my question is would i benifit from some fuel upgrades that could be swaped over to a turbo motor one day
like a fuel controller? are they the same n/a and turbo? if so whats a good unit?
better pump? looking for something better then a walbro?
bigger injectors? reason being i have two rc 650s? how do i tell if there low or high independ?
the biggest question i know ill need a stand alone for all this? do they go both ways too? whats some good ones? apexi power fc? haltech? microtech?
dont even know were to begin igniton wise? its the tuning aspect i poscess the least knowledge about? what is this i hear about advancing the timing one tooth on the crank angle sensor? any benifits?
just really need a direction here? **** ive even thought about just porting and carbing my n/a and sticking wit it too dont know what route to take.

bite the bullet and get a standalone first, you won't need any fuel upgrades with the n/a motor but you will be able to fine tune things to get at least a few more horsepower out of it before you go to the turbo engine, it's also easiest to learn the ins and outs with a n/a engine and tuning unlike the many who start out with a turbo engine and find out the hard way just how picky these engines can be in relation to tuning.

fuel controller; yes, the Super AFC works really well NA, and can be used on a turbo also.
pump; not needed NA.
injectors: not needed NA. the stock fuel system is plenty big
stand alone: you could. you don't need a fuel controller AND a stand alone, keep reading
ignition; advancing the timing is ok, if you're careful, but one whole tooth is WAY too much. 2-5 degrees is more like it.

not really
porting is overrated anyways unless you move on to a real port like a large bridge, semi PP or PP. streetports simply move the engine to utilize the last 1k of the RPM range moderately. at the cost of realistically needing to rebuild the engine to port it, not worth the marginal gains.
if you had the engine apart for one reason or another i would say yes.
but once you do move on to turboing the engine then you will want to crack open the engine and at least install turbo exhaust port sleeves. there isn't much to be gained from porting the intake on the 6 port irons.
