Talking So i dynoed my car last week.....

Hey guys, so i finally got around to dynoing my car last week and was quite surprised at the results!

87 RX7 TurboII

For starters my mods are as follows:
1. Rebuilt streetported motor
2. Ported Wastegate
3. S5 TMIC
4. turbo back Racing Beat Exhaust
5. Cone Intake
6. Removed all emissions crap
7. Removed all A/C components
8. Removed Power steering and replaced with manual rack
9. Removed ABS pump
10. Removed stock fan and put an e-fan in.
11. Modded ECU

First run: 4th Gear Pull: 232.27whp 219.02 torque
Second Run: 3rd Gear Pull: 224.59whp 203.26 torque
Third Run: 4th gear pull: 230.16whp 219.69 torque

By the third run things were starting to heat up. Those were all just dyno runs so i could see where i was at. We took it to 7000rpm and cut it off there. The Walbro fuel pump is waiting to go in and so are the injectors. The air/fuel mixture went to 13:1 at 7000rpm. Not good, thats all i can say!

Boost was running at 12psi creeping to 13 and then dropping to 8psi at about 6000rpm. The lil stock Hitachi turbo just couldn't suck no more air!

Over all, i am pretty happy wth my results

No fuel mods?
Edit: I just re-read that, I would never run those mods without at least the pump installed, thats just begging for disaster.

That's a lot of power...dangerous fuel mods but that's a lot of power. Nice runs man...glad to see people are using 1:1 (4th gear) instead of 3rd like everyone does for some reason. Congradulations .

Yeah Reted, it was on a dynojet.

From what i've been told from so many people they were guessing 190-200whp and i was like wtf? thats it? but the ol' dyno tells all. I was a happy bastard. Even the guy the built my motor guessed 205whp. Hahaha, he surprised himself!

Fuel mods, here i come!

Hopefully by the winter i'll have a nice FMIC and a Hybrid TO4B. So easily over 300WHP, 12's in the quarter mile will be rather nice. haha
