so I blew my clutch and tranny

Well, the other day on a routine drive around the naugatuck valley, i was passed by a couple of my buddies in there cars, one has a 85 turbo coupe and the other a 5.slow

Well we get off the highway down into the lovley mainstreet of becon falls(2 mile completely straight 2 lane road). Put three buddies together on that kinda road and you know we all have to show off. So my buddy takes off in his turbo coupe then the 5.slow then finally me. Well i wind my car up to about 7.5k rpm hit the clutch and go to push second, second doesnt just engage it grinds then finally pops in, Im thinking great i just power shifted second gear with my clutch pedal engaged. Go for 3d at only 6k rpm same thing grinds like no tommorow, well now i know its not a fluke. i slow way down put her into 4th at around 3k rpm same thing grinds until it meshes.

I pull into my buddies drive way, explain the situation and turn off the car. I go to start it back up its like my clutch wasnt evan thier, it starts the clutch would disengage the fly wheel so it imidiatly stalls out. we push it into his garage break out the tools and get to work, drop the drive shaft move the exhaust around enough for plenty of clearence and drop the tranny. First thing i see is my fly wheel
there is a nice big gouge all the way around it, time to look at the back side of my clutch plate, nice chunk of clutch pate missing, throwout bearing was cracked in half, and my tranny has a crack on the top of it near the shofter linkage that seems to be leaking oil.

Im putting my car down for the winter and am going to do a swap for a tii motor and drive train.

your clutch hydraulics might have died. sounds like you push in the pedal and the clutch doesn't disengage. you were grinding and such because the clutch was still engaged even though you thought it wasn't. check on that, it could be a relatively simple problem.

edit:

well you can disregard my message, i didn't read the end of your post where you found all your stuff was destroyed
