So here's a question....

Supposedly I have an RTek chip in my ECU.

BUT I keep hitting what I believe is a fuel cut. It happens in every gear dead-on 8PSI. If I unplug the pressure sensor I can boost past 10psi.

Is it possible that the chip is burned out?

I looked at the ECU and it has been taken apart.

Is there one or two main chips???

An Rtek unit will have one chip in a socket. and a jumper

I haven't taken the cover off.
I'll look at it closer tomorrow. Written on the cover is "tuned to 1.0 bar".

I'm finding some other things that said were done to the car that really weren't!

Oh well.

We would never put something like that on there. Some early units didn't have any markings, but for the past several years, we put large "digital tuning" stickers on the cover which have the version number hand written on it as well as the date of install and some other info.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of...I met with some local RX7ers that DID have an Rtek and they said it wasn't one.

I've found a couple other things that were claimed to be done that weren't.
