'85 12A stalling
Just a question....
Yesterday i took my '85 FB out for a drive. Completely stock and never tinckered with. I drove about 100 kilometers on the highway and when i left the highway it stalled on me at the traffic light. She fired right up but wanted to stall again. 2 kliometers further (lower speed) no problems at all and a nice steady 850 rpm. When i went back home and i left the highway she stalled again and 2 kilometers further no problems at all (again at lower speeds). When i drive her trough the city she never wants to stall, only when i leave the highway and drove higher speeds for a longer period.
The temperature outside now is about -2 or -3 degrees C. No problems starting her up in the morning, it drives great, power all the way and no indication something is wrong. MPG is the same. Normally i don't drive her in the winter so i never noticed this.
Could it be temperature related?

it could be. the place to start is kind of a tune up check. you want to reset the idle mixture, and then check things like the spark plugs/air filter etc.
the shop manual actually has a page or two on how to do a check up like this.

Was the first thing i planned to do when driving season begins. She needs a service that's for sure. have no idea how old the plugs are. Have the manual on my pc and will dig in to it.
