umm steak knife, butterknife, razor blade...they snap off pretty easily. just remember to wear eye protection when they come flying out

anyhoo, yea, how do you remove that vertical strip, it looks incredibly good without it!

 

will a dremel and a steady hand work?

 

just stick a steak knife or some kind of knife in between the lens and the plastic bar, pry up and it will snap right off.

the spoiler is Mazda factory spoiler from Japan. It's from a 1992 FC3S and is made from ABS plastic not foam. I dont know if you can find those here

ya know the first thing i noticed on my seven 4 years before i bought it (i knew the people that owned it) was the S4 tail lights white vert and i think they tail lights are sexxy a friend had me on the s5 tail lights for a bit but i keep goign back to the S4 tail lights and i beleave therethe tail lights in inital d noot positive on that though.

PS: the S4 tail lights make the car look lower and wider from teh right angel and the verts look wider then the hatches any way but i'm still shoppign around for wide boddy fenders and a nice simpel body kit thats not goign to eat through my pocket like a batch of sulferic acid ( wish i could aford the G aro body kit)

I hate my S4 tails. They are so ugly. Im getting S5's once I have enough money to spare.

i thought about removing that plastic piece today when i painted mine, but doesnt it leave a gap?

 

personally, i like both. it really depends on how the car is mdofied. if FC's are mostly stock, especially with the stock rear, s4 tails look much better. but if you have enough money to buy a bodykit, i usually prefer s5 tails since most bodykits make our cars look more modern.
does that make any sense?
