Unhappy So which is it?

I've been trying to figure it out for a while. My car pulls hard sometimes, and other times I can floor it in second, and the car doesn't really pick up. I've driven other fc's and they seem to have plenty of torque (or more torque than mine). I get really crappy mileage. The mods on my 87 n/a include headers to gutted cat to mufflers.
I did a search and these problems sound like they are related to the fuel injectors. Has anyone that cleaned their fuel injectors noticed their power regained. One more thing, I notice that the car seems to pull hard in and out of gears when I start driving it after it sits for a while overnight and warms up with the cold start. A couple of my friends have fc's too, and their cars seem to pull hard. I don't know what else to look at. Also, how will changing the fluids, like the tranny, and differential fluids affect the drivability of the car?

are you sure your 5/6 ports are working?? if so try wiring them open, maybe their working intermittently. have the injectors cleaned and ground the ECU, see how that works out.

Cleaning up your OEM grounds would definetly be a good place to start.

Remember also you're going to "feel" more power when she's just warmed up, before the heat sink affects your intake manifolds after running for a while...

the grounding is just as important to the car as the power, if your's are dirty and not getting good connections, things could not be working

Where would the grounding points be at, and how do I clean them?

Got FSM???

Last page or two of the FSM wiring manual shows you all the grounds, but start with the one on the rear rotor housing, under the UIM...

Anyone else have problems seeing the factory service manual they have at teamfc3s? The text and pictures are so small.

That's what the magnifying glass is for, lol...

Also might want to check out the "basic electrical troubleshooting for the rx7" thread (search), where I explained why Mazda's grounds are so crappy, and what to do to fix them...

Is there an actual picture of this anywhere, I did a search yesterday, and saw a pic, now I can't find it again.
