ID Smooth idle out of gear, rough in gear

Morning!

First, my 88 convertible RX7 (manual 5 speed) runs great. Starts right up, idles smooth at 1500 till warm then drops to a smooth 800 or so.

But the oddest thing is happening.

When she is cold, and this is only randomly, when I have her out of gear it idles at 1500 perfect. Sometimes, when I out her in gear, as if to go after a red light turns green, the idle drops to 800 and is really rough. I take it out of gear and bam, it pops up to 1500 again silky smooth.

Once she is warmed up she idles at 800 perfectly fine with no anomalies.

Thoughts?

Having a similar problem my self thinking it is the BAC but I haven't had time to diagnose it properly. Mine hunts or bounces from 750 to 1500rpm when in gear idles fine in N

Set your TPS to 1 volt. W/key to on and the engine as hot as possible (twenty minute drive) the Green/Red wire should read 1 volt. If it does not then adjust the TPS screw (one inch flat head screw encased in a spring).
