Smoking cats
I just installed a set of catco high flow cats and a pacesetter catback on my car. About a minute after I started the car i noticed some smoke in the garage. When I looked under the car Alot of smoke was comming off the cats. I thought that Perhaps it was my under coat melting but I checked the cats an hour later and they were completly cool. I had to bend the pipe from the air pump to fit but it isnt kinked and should inhibit airflow. I've never installed cats before and was wordering if this is just a normal break in period or if there is something serioulsy wrong.
Thanks
Thanks
Normal break in. The CAT will only smoke for a bit, but your pacesetter cat-back will smoke every time you drive it for a few days. It's just the undercoating/black paint burning off. Don't worry it is completely normal.

yea, run it hard for a bit. The smoke will stink, but it wont last more than a week.
