Smoking after releasing throttle at redline
So everytime I redline my car and release the throttle to shift it puffs out a little bit of white smoke. If I engine brake from redline it will puff out enough smoke that I can see it in my rear view. I have absolutely NO coolant loss and normal oil consumption. There is also no smoke whatsoever at cold startup regardless of how long it sat.
Factory Rotary Resurrection rebuild reaching ~40k miles, the engine runs great and pulls like it should, never had starting or flooding issues. It didn't used to smoke when I first got the car (10k on rebuild) and I've ran it low on oil a few times.
I'm going to steam clean the engine with water tonight to see if it does anything for me. Any ideas on what it could be?

Because I have OCD. At the autocross today I redlined and braked hard in gear on several turns and no smoke so it will only do it when engine braking. The oil control rings are a possibility, I topped it out once (7.5-8k rpm for 30+ sec.) and it was a quart low when I checked it the next morning, along with several other instances when its been run hard on low oil. Oil consumption is a bitch to monitor on these cars, FAQ says a quart to 1000-3000 miles is normal and thats a pretty long range...
