smoke issues
ok 1989 rx7 with T2 swap. Now i got my car 3months ago ran fine. The upgraded turbo in it pretty much went.So i went to a stock s5 turbo and in very short time that one went.I put a second one in and in short time it went as well. Now my car never smoked thru this time in between turbos. When i put on the third turbo it would start up and not smoke. So after running for a few minutes almost warming up it would dump a large amount of smoke. It would go away as i start driving and would come back when i stop or slow down.So i figured it was the turbos oil seal that was no good so i changed it once again.Putting in another one i started it up and wouldnt smoke like last time alot less now but still dumping some smoke came out pure blue so i no its oil anyone no why my car is smoking all of a sudden??i was told maybe too much oil pressure going thru the turbo is that possible??
What kind of turbo is it? Stock had restrictors in the line. You could have too much pressure. Then again I don't know much about turbos and I do not know what the stock needs as far as supply/pressure. Maybe you just happened to have 4 bad turbos? Honestly, I would stop throwing parts at it and send a stocker out for rebuild/upgrade. I read good things about BNR here.
