what color smoke it is?

if white its moisture.. and if its black its your oil is leaking into your exhaust.

ride a bike. if you dont know how to troubleshoot, you shouldn't even have a rx7.

Is the white smoke constantly coming out? Even after 15 minutes of driving?

If its only when you start the car, thats normal. The best thing to do is to drive the car hard on the way to the tester so its very hot. Then get it tested. If you fail the test replace your cat converter.

1) Unless your car is not stock, you don't have a header. You have an Exhaust Manifold
2) No, if you take off the exhaust from the manifold all you will have is a loud exhaust. You will also create leaks in the exhaust from moving it around.

3) If you are super worried, you will want to replace everything from the manifold back. At this point its how much do you want to spend?

For 6 hundred it will need work. Its probably the oil o rings. I would buy any 91 for 600 running or not. If you cant afford to fix it you can make a grand selling parts off it.

If the smoke burns blueish white you are burning oil and your oil control rings are prolly shot, if its really white smoke and it smells sweet you are burning coolant and the housing seals are probably shot. both require the engine to be disassembled. Grayish smoke when you fist have the car running is normal, oh and gas burns black, oil is blueish white, coolant is white and sweet, and normal combustion is gray.

LOL, i was reading this thread and like the first 10 posts were really really short.....hahaha

Anyway yes, check out Aaroncake's threads as he is a rotary god but if you're not down with that, the easiest start would be to check out your catalytic converter, if you dont know what a catalytic converter is.....then there's something wrong with you. Check your spark plugs to make sure most of the fuel is getting burnt, plug wires compression check, change fluids, check all of your Emissions stuff under the hood, you know smog pump vac lines and all that other fun stuff. If you're still having problems buy an Owners manual and take it to a smog shop.
