Smoke from engine bay + random questions
Okay so i was checking my aas actuators. (car is fully warmed up) and i noticed what seemed from under the exhaust manifold and from near the oil filter area but underneath it there was this white exhaust-like smoke, it was white and smelled somewhat like atf (yes i have an at). Soo my questions, is there any way i can further diagnose this w/o jacking my car up (cant jack it up... in apartments). Then also I have these hoses that dont connect to anything, they look like they are supposed to be that way, but for my ease of knowledge i would like to know what they are for.
first one is from underneath my charcoal canister, i think this is just to get outside air or something in there?
second one is near the same area but just coming out of the firewall.

The one comming out of the firewall is the condensation drain from the AC. I'm going to have to check on the charcoal canister one though. I'm perty sure that's supposed to hook up to something.

In the manuals i couldn't find it connect to anything, the ones on the top are connected, but then in the manual there is the bottom hose that just goes down in to a gray area.
for auto trannies is there some kind of overflow that kicks out the fluid if there is too much? or do i just need to look and see if i can find a leak somewhere...

If there's too much, it usually comes out the filler tube if you're lucky. If you're not, it leaks out the pan gasket. I'd check those two places first.
I'll check the charcoal cannister connections when I get home.

Yeah well it looks like I am a dunce. The white smoke... yeah thats just exhaust. Coming up from in between the exhaust manifold and the 1st precat.
Since you seem to be helping so much... :p
When i rev the engine then let off it seems really choke alot like its not smooth back down, i think thats normal, but would all my exhaust leaks hinder that? I'm thinking it would but just asking a 2nd opinion.

Exhausts aren't really my forte. How's the exhaust getting out?
I had to step out to another building, so I stopped by the parking lot and looked at the charcoal cannister. That hose out the bottom is just a drain or vent. it connects to nothing.
