Exclamation Smog situation.

Well like the title says I need to get my car smogged at a Test only cause dmv doesnt like FC's. Well my motor is a reman from mazda with around 25k miles on it. I believe it can be passed, but im not 100% sure. I would much rather pay extra for magic smog, but I just need help to figure out if my motor would pass or not. It isn't majorly ported but it has T2 injectors and a ported throttle body. I re-installed all stock exhaust from manifold down. I imagine I need to refit all the stock intake system w/massive airbox, but if theres alternate ways of this i'd like to know. I have the ACV block off plate so I need to hook up a ACV(is the silencer necessary?) and Air Pump(which i don't have). I recently had a electrical problem that fixed itself so to me.. thats still broken. I want to get the car off of non-op so I can either sell or trade. The car is a 1986 s4. I have some dope RB headers and a custom full 3" i want back on my car!! HELP ME QUICK!!!! if anyone has cars they'd like to trade let me know too.

There's tons of threads on passing emmisions. Try searching for "passing emmisions" or "failed emmisions" or something along those lines.
And your car is definately passable, but it might need some work. Do you have any way of leaning out the TII injectors? If not, they will run super rich and cause you to fail. You definately need the air pump, and probably the ACV since they do a visual check there. Once you get that setup, then you should be good to go. If you fail, you can post your results and help you from there.

Get rid of the TII injectors and get some stock 460s back in there. There's no way you need 550s on an NA motor unless it's a peripheral ported race motor.

Then put the ACV back on and re-attach the split air pipe and air pump. If you're using aftermarket cat(s), you can still pass the visual. I use 1 large main cat instead of the stock 2 pre cats and 1 tiny main.
