Ok, I have got most the parts to make the little venting thing I seen in the archives, i cant seem to find anyting to connect anything to the "T" Im using 3/8 "T" and everytihng but for some stupid reason home depot or lowes carrys eveything BUT a 3/8 cupling. so I have to go to a specialty store and pick one up witch is fine.


Untill then is it ok (meaning will it harm my motor) to just run the line from the smog pump to the aux port line? I know the ports will open alot sooner but its better then not having then open at all.

 

I don't know if it'll happen, but I'd be worried about a lean condition by the ports opening sooner. And, your cats could over-heat and break-up without the air-pump pumping in cool air.

Just my thoughts.

 

im not totaly dissconnecting the smog pump, ill be taping into it, and my cat is gone.

 

Well, if you can tune the aux ports so they open at 5100rpm or so... then its fine... Is this an S5?

 

nope s4, and 5100 rpms? they open stock at 35-3600......

 

Well, at 3800, secondary injectors start up... at 5100 the aux ports open up... (I'm pretty sure this is right).
