Exclamation smog in ca

well i just bought a 88 gtu
and it has street port and jasma exhaust
will i have a problem passing the engine only has 20k on fresh rebuild

i know i read it

one other question is the car has a bouncing idle how do i fix its going between 700-1000

bouncing idle is because the TPS is out of adjustment

ok what is the proper way to adjust the tps do i need to put car in diagnostic mode with a jumper wire or something simular?

Worst case senario, Ive heard that hiding a corvette electric airpump under the car plummed into the exhaust with a small tube welded in before the cat, and 1/4th ethonal will pass anything,...

If the stock air pump is there there is no need for an additional airpump. And CA will usually fail a car for having the airpump removed even if there is an electric airpump added.

do a tune up and go find out. a couple shops around here only charge 30 as test only and if you pass, for another 20 you'll get your cert. if it doesn't pass then just get use to spending money on your new 7.
