Well, I have a 1987 rx7. It's in really good condition at only 47k miles.
What happened was that an oil line broke, and got oil everywhere. Well, that is now replaced, i have yet to clean out the engine compartment. I was wondering, because when I am driving it, I can smell oil, and I want to know if there could be anything other than the spilt oil that would create that smell.
I don't think there is any other problem than that oil spill, but I could be wrong so I would like an opinion on reasons for smelling like oil...

probably not. if you never cleaned the engine bay there is still oil burning off the motor and other various parts of the car. also for future reference its a good idea to post if its turbo or not, o and welcome to the darkside

 

sorry, it's a non turbo. and it's black. i got it for a heck of a deal too. i just bought it for $1500. and with themileage on it, it's gonna last me for a while.
oh and thanks for your inpuot. i am sure it is jsut the oil in the bay, i just wanted to know if there were any other problems that would cause that...
