Smell Coolant under WOT
Ive noticed for the past few weeks that whenever i get hard on the throttle i can start to smell coolant, and continue to smell coolant for a few seconds afterward. Today i noticed a few drops of the green stuff on the engine block underneath my water pump.
What does this mean? Is there immediate danger to continue driving? A quick response is great, i need to make a 120 mile trek tomorow and need to know if i can drive or get a ride.
THANKS!

Looks like small leak, might be gasket. If your temps are not moving and your coolant level is not going down fast, i would not be worried too much, but fix it once u`ll have chance. And of course watch your temp gauge and coolante level more carefully.

Considering i can actually see the coolant on the outside of the block, im not worried about a blown interior coolant seal. Having a leaky water pump gasket wouldnt shoot exhaust gases into my coolant system... unless someone pulled a fast one on me and changed the exhaust gas routing through my water pump
I was releived when i saw the coolant, then i knew it wasnt interior.
Could this be the cause of my high running temps? It such a small amount of coolant though, its been happening for weeks and i still havent gotten a low coolant buzzer.
My car has the trouble of climbing up to close to the "H" on hillclimbs, even with a permacool 2950 cfm fan, no A/C or P/S, fresh rad. flush and coolant, yet it still overheats very easily...
Can the water pump seal be part, or the cause of my overheating?

Partly yes, because u have outside leak, your system might have problems to pressurize and pressure in coolant system is key to heat transmission. And less coolant in system means faster boiling.
