Question small turboII swap question ???

I found a s4 motor but its connected to a auto trans. i am going to use my na manual trans for a little while. but the question is there anything different on the auto motor that would have to be changed for the manual setup. such as ecu, harness i know s4 flywheel better NA pressure and clutch.

I have read a lot in the search section but they all talk about manual to manual not auto to manual.

If I'm understanding the question properly, your going to use the S4 auto engine in a S4 5speed, just change the flywheel and add pilot bearing and the clutch assembly and your good to go.

Just read title again, and the light went on. How is a TII involved?

Must be a jspec turbo motor, there were no automatic turbos in north america.

Take the auto trans, torque convertor, flexplate, and counterweight off the turbo motor. The counterweight can be sold for a good 50 bucks on here, the rest is junk.

Take your NA flywheel and bolt it on, proceed as usual.

There will be a vacuum hose somewhere on the back of the turbo motor that went to the auto trans, which must be capped off to prevent a leak.

Everything else should be fine.

no sorry i want to do a s4 TII conversion in my s4 GXL. the motor TII is connected to a auto right now and i want to put my NA manual trans on it for the time being and i need to know if i have to buy anything else to do the conversion because it is comming off auto TII. the motor if i buy it is comming with motor, auto trans, tmic, ecu, uncut harness, and ac/ps/alt.

i just need to know if its going to need different little part to work properly with a manual trans. sorry for the confusion

The ecu will work, the harness will not, you need a LHD turbo s4 harness.
