Slack steering wheel

There is approx 1/2 inch of slack play in my steering wheel. It appears to be at the steering knuckle as the manual rack does not move with the play. Is there anything that can be done to the knucke to remove the slack? Is it just a worn pin? anyone have this problem before?

That sounds like a loose hub bolt. My issue is more related to the steering knuckle and the Pin that holds the rack to the steering column. I'm just wondering if anyone has a fix like drilling and re-pinning with a better fitting pin.
