simple question about wiring on tps.... need help fast
simple question here. a wire for the tps on the harness side broke and I'm hoping I can just ground it out rather then breaking up the harness and fiddling and hope not breaking any more wires
the one that broke is the green wire with orange stripe. can this just have a wire connected to ground or does it need to connect to the ECU instead?
plz help quick guys

The green wire is your signal wire to the ECU- don't ground it. Without it, you'll throw a code (if you have the means to even see it), and the ECU will use the 18% throttle stored fail-safe for driving.
Once I noticed how corroded my TPS plug was getting a couple of years ago, I cut the connectors from both ends, removed another 1-2" of wiring from both ends (to remove the hard, oxidized sections), and respliced everything back together with butt splices. I'm not saying you have to do something so extreme to yours, just letting you know it can be done...
