Talking simple idel Q

when i unflooded the car i was told to put atf in the bottom 2 spark plug holes its a 90 GTU, and i was wondering if that was correct to do and also i was reading in a diff thread that if you blow white smoke your engines prolly bad?! well mine does right after start up but goes away after it does the 3k rev, also my tps is almost the hole way out so its really rich ne ansers as to y it only wants to start like that and still doesnt wanna run to the full aspects of a rotary motor?

First of all don't say u or y or ne that is kids speak

After you unflood an engine it spews smoke fore a while. If it does this all the time you will need s rebuild in the near future. To keep the car from reving to 3k start the car with it in 1st gear it is bad for a cold engine to reve high like that. Do a full tune up and see if it still smokes.

Slight smoke at startup is normal. Thats the sign of a happy rotary.

Here is the complex unflooding procedure for you:

As long as you are not loosing or spitting out any coolant - no sweat.

Yes it was. When an engine floods, the excess fuel washes the oil from the seals. That oil is required to seal the chambers and allow compression to build. Without the oil, there's not enough compression for the engine to run. A squirt of AFT in each chamber replaces the oil and allows enough compression to build to start the engine.

Why ATF and not oil? I understand the benefits of ATF with a carbon-locked engine, but why ATF in an engine that's flooded, especially when you're not going to let the ATF sit overnight?

Oil works just as well. ATF's thinner, so it's easier to administer.

3 step methos worked handy for me yesterday

I got flooded by doing a short start ( driveway to street ). I've had the car for just 4 months and have not experienced the flooding but back when my dad was rocking the car he would experience it a lot ( often resulting in taking public trans. to work some mornings).
Fortunatley I looked up the problem on this forum last night and went out to my car where my dad was just turning the car over to try to get it started ( persistant turn overs had worked for him in the past). I ask him to pop the hood, i yank out the fuse and turn her over once, pop the fuse back in and turn her over and she came to life. Dad thought that was pretty nifty!
Lotts of blue smoke but she's working fine now!
