simple fuel question.

just wondering if i were to get a tuned ecu on ebay or whatever would i still need to get a fuel cutoff switch?

don't get a tuned ECU off ebay, they suck.

why do you need a fuel cutoff switch?

you should probably just get an rtek if you want to upgrade your ECU with something easy.

i guess it depends on what you are trying to accomplish..you know, the overall picture. stand alone engine management is always the best option for serious tuning. i prefer megasquirt due to its compatibility with the 7 and the fact that you can build it to your specs!

yeah, if you look in my sig I agree with you

but most people want a super simple solution. Not something they will actually have to tune.

very true..but i wish more people wouldnt waste their engines on cheap parts and actually do things right the first time

well the thing is...all i'm trying to accomplish is to stop the fuel cut past 8psi...did i mention its turbo

then you need a fuel cut defender or a stand alone (or for a more plug and play an Rtek). A fuel cut switch is for shutting off the pump or injectors to help with flooding issues.

get an fcd from mazdatrix. right around $100. make sure your fuel pump can keep up with the boost.
